Process Reengineering and Technical Study of Electronic
Service Portal for Legal Panel Members
A new integrated and interactive
Electronic Service Portal was designed for the Hong Kong
Government to facilitate the close communications among
departmental staffs, over 2600 legal panel members and the
community. A range of new e-services, such as knowledge
database, online appointment bookings, online means test
calculator, online form submission for pre-application of
aids services, will be put in this powerful platform for
the community' uses. Besides, the online workflow for Panel
members' admission, change of status, submission of case
progress reports and written communications with departmental
officers will also be embedded into this Portal. More importantly,
its versatility is able to integrate with legacy applications,
such as case management system and case accounting system.
