e-Mail Capturing Utility Application integrated with typical Document Management Systems

The e-Mail Capturing Utility Application was developed for the Hong Kong Government to handle enormous quantity of e-mail messages from extracting e-mail messages from numerous individual users’ mailboxes, converting the current & special e-mail mode into open formats for easy preservation, to providing users with the options to choose which format (e.g. html, pdf, etc.) the converted files should be rendered. Besides converting e-mails, the system also able to store the converted e-mails into the typical document management (DM) systems for easy content sharing and then, the users can subsequently retrieve or conveniently search these files. Due to some files carrying information of “restricted” classification, the system could cope with the security & privacy requirements pertaining to the handling of such sensitive information.
