Revenue Collection System for Electronic Service Delivery Scheme

Revenue Collection System was developed for the Hong Kong Government to cater for new business requirements related to revenue collection such as the use of Octopus and Internet payment through the Electronic Service Delivery Scheme. This system was integrated with various departmental booking and ticketing systems for effective collection of revenue information and interfaced the Government's Ledger Accounting and Financial Information System (LAFIS). In brief, it improves the overall operational efficiency in the management of the revenue collection. Its main functions include automatic capturing of revenue and bank-in information from source ticketing systems, retrieving bank-in records from interface files generated by banks or e-money operator, automatic updating of revenue information to the Government's LAFIS, reconciliation of the bank-in records with revenue information recorded in the system, computation of transaction fees, and report generation on revenue collection for control & audit purposes, etc.
