System Enhancement Services on two reciprocal systems of
Personnel Management System and Asset Management System
ArcotectTM
provided system enhancement services on two obsolete applications
owned by the Hong Kong Government, which are (1) Personnel
Management System with modules of Personnel & Temporary
Staffs Management & Staff Training, and (2) Asset Management
System. Human Resources Management System aims to store
personal information of each individual staffs under either
permanent or temporary employment and to facilitate human
resources administration on personal particulars, working
experience, posting history, training history and needs
and staff appraisal record etc; whereas Asset Management
System aims to keep track of the procurement processes and
record the inventory & maintenance information of computer
& office equipment. Arcotect performed programming complied
with interoperability framework to allow both systems share
the common library modules & some data tables. Furthermore,
high security issue is another challenge in this project
as there are “restricted” & “privacy”
data stored in the system.
