Web-based e-Leave System for Non-Civil Service Contract
At present, the thousands
civil service staffs cover officers on irregular shift duty
pattern and some under Non-Civil Service Contract Terms.
Doubtlessly, this new system significantly reduces manual
efforts on handling paper forms, improves data integrity,
facilitates leave administration, improves staffs' productivity,
prevents incorrect delivery or loss of form, and more importantly,
helps to create a paperless office environment. Generally,
this system comprises two parts of the front-end workflow
application for staffs’ leave request and the backend
rule-based application for leave recording and calculation.
Apart from performing the data conversion and system migration
from the old DOS-based system to the new web-based one,
ArcotectTM designed and
developed all interface/ conversion programs between e-Leave
System and other related in-house systems to ensure data
integrity. Besides, we worked together with departmental
staffs to set up system user authentication through Departmental
Portal, establish specific leave rules, create user and
administrator accounts, and roll out the systems to all
the end-users.
